When the new Comox Valley Hospital was built, we were responsible for installing a 428,700‑square‑foot roofing system capable of supporting extensive mechanical equipment while meeting strict healthcare standards. The project required careful phasing to stay ahead of interior trades and maintain weather protection as each wing was closed in. We used a high‑performance membrane, tapered insulation to improve drainage and heavy‑duty walkways to protect areas with frequent maintenance traffic. Our crews worked under the oversight of the construction manager and facility team, ensuring every penetration and mechanical curb was properly sealed. The completed roof contributes to the hospital’s energy efficiency and long‑term resilience.
