During construction of the new Campbell River Hospital, we took on the challenge of installing the 348,000‑square‑foot roof system. Healthcare projects demand careful scheduling, rigorous safety protocols and coordination with dozens of other trades. Our team set up fall‑protection systems, staged materials to keep access points clear and maintained constant communication with the general contractor. We used a multi‑ply membrane and extensive insulation to meet energy and infection‑control requirements. Mechanical curbs, penetrations and parapets were integrated with new HVAC systems without compromising waterproofing. The completed roof provides reliable protection for patients and staff and contributes to the hospital’s energy efficiency.
