In the fishing village of Alert Bay, our crews were asked to protect a small historic church that had stood for generations. The original roofing was nearing the end of its life and the building’s coastal location exposed it to strong winds, heavy rain and salt spray. We stripped the old materials and installed a new roof system along with custom sheet‑metal cladding. Because the church sits on a small island, we scheduled deliveries by barge and worked with local trades to manage site access. The new roof sheds water efficiently and the metal cladding follows the simple lines of the architecture, preserving the church’s character while ensuring it stays dry and sound for years to come.
